Held in the Amazon region, this was the first event outside Finland and culminated in Pará State’s first bioeconomy strategy declaration.
The World BioEconomy Forum 2021 took place in Latin America. World BioEconomy Forum goes to Brazil – live from Bélem! 18–20 October 2021.
Again, there the Forum was a great success – based on delegates and participants the bioeconomy is not same in Brazil or Latin America after the Forum. One of the most notable results of the Forum is that the first biostrategy is now real. The state of the Para Published it’s biostrategy in Belém at the Forum. We’ll hope the this will pave to way for other similar strategies in the region.
As always the Forums are arranged in the spirit of HARD TALK – RELAX ENVIRONMENT – EASY ACCESS. The conference programme was aligned with the Four-Pilar Structure comprising 60 speakers from 19 countries. The programme attracted audience from 44 different countries of which 400 delegates participated in person and almost 1000 followed online. We are always giving the respect for the local culture so this time the annual declaration was performed with rhythm of carimbo by Fafá de Belém and Dona Onete.
