
Leonardo Vieira Teixeira, DSc., Chemical engineer graduated from the School of Chemistry of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) with a Master of Science and Doctor of Science in Chemical and Biochemical Process Engineering in the area of Innovation Management from the School of Chemistry/UFRJ.
In his postgraduate studies, he worked on the study of innovation dynamics in the bioeconomy, mainly in business models and the diffusion of bioplastics.
He was a partner at Intratec Consulting, working on mapping technological landscapes, techno-economic evaluation of process technologies, structuring foreign trade databases, and building indices for correcting investments in industrial plants.
He has being working at SENAI Innovation Institute for Biosynthetic and Fibers of FIRJAN since 2016, currently leading the Business Intelligence area. In this role, he is responsible for projects related to the development of technological and market roadmaps, patentability analyses and prioritization of opportunities.
He has worked with multiple Brazilian and foreign companies on assessing industrial opportunities within the bioeconomy context, in sectors such as chemicals, cosmetics, energy, food and beverage, health, oil and gas, paper and pulp, textiles, among others.
