Advancing the Bioeconomy in Practice

The World Bioeconomy Association (WBA) is a global non-profit platform connecting policymakers, industry, researchers, and investors to accelerate the transition to a sustainable and circular bioeconomy.

We facilitate dialogue, share global insights, and connect stakeholders to support informed decision-making and practical progress.

Bioeconomy Strategies & Roadmaps

WBA supports and facilitates bioeconomy strategy processes across public and private stakeholders. This includes:
  • global benchmarking and positioning

WBA convenes international dialogue through roundtables, policy discussions, and global events — enabling exchange, alignment, collaboration, and knowledge sharing across regions and sectors.

We also contribute to global bioeconomy discussions through participation and speaking engagements at international platforms and processes, including G20-related dialogues, Climate COP events, EU-level discussions, and other global forums.

How We Work

WBA operates as an independent, non-profit platform focused on:

  • stakeholder engagement

WBA collaborates with knowledge partner organisations to support practical pathways for implementation.

Where project development or implementation support is needed, qualified knowledge partner organisations may take the lead.

WBA acts as a neutral platform facilitating dialogue, collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and ecosystem connections.
