Climate Change and Sustainability Specialist at IDB-Brazil

Kátia Fenyves is a Climate Change and Sustainability Specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), where she leads strategic operations and policy dialogues on climate finance, biodiversity, and sustainable development in Brazil. Through initiatives such as the EcoInvest Program and the IDB Clima pilot in Brazil, she has helped design innovative financial instruments and supported major reforms linked to the country’s Ecological Transformation Plan.

With over a decade of experience across Latin America, Africa, and Europe, Kátia works on mobilizing climate and biodiversity finance and building partnerships among governments, development banks, and global funds such as the CIF and GCF. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Governance from Sciences Po Paris and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of São Paulo (USP).
