
Daniel Lodetti is a Brazilian Diplomat and Deputy Head for Sustainable Development. He was part of the team that led the creation of the G20 Initiative on Bioeconomy (GIB), one of the main innovations announced by the Brazilian Presidency for the G20 in 2024. Daniel has been a negotiator for Brazilian delegations at various international forums, including the United Nations High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF), the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA), the G20 Development Working Group, the European Biomass Conference, the Global Forum on Food and Agriculture (GFFA) and ECLAC's Latin American and Caribbean Forum on Sustainable Development.
He currently serves as a deputy board member of the 10-Year Framework of Programs on Sustainable Consumption and Production Patterns (10YFP). He previously worked at the Brazilian Embassy in Bogotá. Daniel holds a degree in Economics from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), where he was awarded the medal and prize for best undergraduate student in Economics. During his time at the Diplomatic Academy, Daniel was awarded the "Rio Branco" Prize - Silver Medal, which is awarded to the two best students on the Diplomat Training Course at the Rio Branco Institute, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil.
